Draw the graph of the linear equation in two variables: $y=3x$

If $x=0$,then $y=3(0) \Rightarrow y=0$
If $x=1$,then $y=3(1) \Rightarrow y=3$
If $x=-1$,then $y=3(-1) \Rightarrow y=-3$
$\therefore$ We get the following table:
Plot the ordered pairs $(0, 0)$,$(1, 3)$,and $(-1, -3)$ on the graph paper. Joining these points,we get the straight line $LM$.
Thus,the line $LM$ is the required graph of $y=3x$.
