Epididymis helps in maturation of sperms, to obtain motility in more amount, to obtain the capacity of fertilization. Epididymis stores sperms before sperms enter into vas deferens.
Epididymis show peristaltic and segmenting contractions at regular intervals of time for expulsion of sperms from testis.
