Scalar physical quantity : "The physical quantity which needs only magnitude to describe it is called a scalar physical quantity."

E.g. : Mass, distance, time, density, temperature, power etc.

Vector physical quantity: "The physical quantity which needs magnitude and direction both to describe it is called a vector physical quantity."

E.g. : Displacement, velocity, acceleration, force etc.
