(N/A) In animals and other simple organisms, the term 'asexual' is used explicitly. However,in plants, the term 'vegetative propagation' is frequently used.
Vegetative structures in plants such as runners, rhizomes, suckers, tubers, offsets, and bulbs are capable of giving rise to new offspring. These structures are called vegetative propagules.
Since the formation of these structures does not involve two parents, the process involved is asexual.
Fragmentation: In some organisms, the body breaks into distinct pieces or fragments, and each fragment grows into an adult organism. Example: $Hydra$,$Planaria$. This is also a type of asexual reproduction known as fragmentation.
