This compound is unstable and loses iodine to form allyl iodide $(CH_2=CH-CH_2I)$. Further reaction with $HI$ leads to the formation of $2-iodopropane$ $(CH_3-CH(I)-CH_3)$. Finally,the reduction of $2-iodopropane$ with $HI$ yields $2-iodopropane$ which further reduces to propane $(CH_3-CH_2-CH_3)$.
