(D) Phospholipids are a crucial class of lipids that contain a phosphate group. They are polar lipids and,similar to triglycerides,are esters of glycerol. In phospholipids,only two fatty acid molecules are esterified to the glycerol backbone at the first and second carbon atoms. The third position of the glycerol is esterified to a phosphoric acid molecule,which is further linked to another alcohol group. Examples of phospholipids include Lecithin,Cephalin,and Kephalin (which is an alternative name for Cephalin). Therefore,all the given options are phospholipids.
