(A) In an $n-p-n$ transistor,the emitter is $n$-type,the base is $p$-type,and the collector is $n$-type.When used as an amplifier,the base-emitter junction is forward-biased and the collector-base junction is reverse-biased.Due to the forward bias,electrons are injected from the emitter into the base.Because the base is very thin and lightly doped,most of these electrons diffuse through the base into the collector region.The collector is kept at a positive potential relative to the base to attract these electrons.Therefore,electrons move from the base to the collector.
