(D) The reaction between $2$ moles of chlorobenzene and $1$ mole of chloral $(CCl_3CHO)$ in the presence of concentrated $H_2SO_4$ is a condensation reaction. In this reaction,the oxygen atom of the aldehyde group of chloral reacts with the hydrogen atoms at the para-positions of the two chlorobenzene rings to eliminate a water molecule. The resulting product is $1,1,1-	ext{trichloro}-2,2-	ext{bis}(p-	ext{chlorophenyl})	ext{ethane}$,commonly known as $DDT$.
