(A) The Primary Endosperm Cell $(PEC)$ is formed as a result of triple fusion. During double fertilization in angiosperms,one male gamete fuses with the egg cell to form a diploid zygote (syngamy). The second male gamete fuses with the two polar nuclei located in the central cell to form a triploid Primary Endosperm Nucleus $(PEN)$. This process of fusion of three haploid nuclei is known as triple fusion. Following this fusion,the central cell,which contains the $PEN$,is referred to as the Primary Endosperm Cell $(PEC)$.
