For the first $3$ years at $4$ $p.c.p.a.$: $SI_1 = \frac{P 	imes 4 	imes 3}{100} = \frac{12P}{100}$$2$. For the next $2$ years at $8$ $p.c.p.a.$: $SI_2 = \frac{P 	imes 8 	imes 2}{100} = \frac{16P}{100}$$3$.
