(N/A) The alimentary canal of a cockroach is divided into three regions: foregut,midgut,and hindgut.
$1$. Foregut: It includes the pharynx,esophagus,crop (for food storage),and gizzard (for grinding food).
$2$. Midgut: It is a narrow tube where digestion and absorption occur. At the junction of the foregut and midgut,there are $6-8$ blind tubules called hepatic caecae,which secrete digestive juices.
$3$. Hindgut: It is broader than the midgut and consists of the ileum,colon,and rectum. Malpighian tubules are present at the junction of the midgut and hindgut,which help in excretion.
