(N/A) Obtaining energy from nuclear fusion reactions is preferable to obtaining energy from nuclear fission reactions for the following reasons:
$(i)$ For a given mass of fuel,the energy released from nuclear fusion is significantly larger than the energy released from nuclear fission.
$(ii)$ Nuclear fission produces radioactive waste,which poses a major challenge for safe disposal and environmental protection. In contrast,nuclear fusion does not produce such hazardous radioactive waste,making it a cleaner energy source.
