(N/A) Obtaining energy from nuclear fusion reactions is preferable to obtaining energy from nuclear fission reactions for the following reasons:
$(i)$ For a given mass of fuel, the energy released during nuclear fusion is significantly greater than the energy released during nuclear fission.
$(ii)$ Nuclear fission produces radioactive waste, which poses a significant challenge for safe disposal and long-term storage. In contrast, nuclear fusion does not produce such hazardous radioactive waste, making it a cleaner and safer alternative.
