Explain the role of the Sun in the formation of soil.
(N/A) The Sun heats the rocks during the day,causing them to expand. At night,these rocks cool down and contract. Because different components of the rock expand and contract at different rates,this uneven process leads to the development of cracks in the rocks. Over long periods,these cracks widen,causing the rocks to break into smaller particles,which eventually form soil.
