(N/A) Hydroelectricity is produced by constructing high-rise dams to obstruct the flow of water.
As the water level rises behind the dam,the kinetic energy of the flowing water is converted into potential energy.
When this water is released from a high level,it is directed through pipes to a turbine.
The falling water strikes the blades of the turbine, causing it to rotate.
This mechanical energy from the rotating turbine is then used to drive a generator, which converts it into electrical energy.
