(N/A) $\rightarrow$ In cockroaches,excretion is carried out by Malpighian tubules. Each tubule is lined with glandular and ciliated cells. They absorb nitrogenous waste products from the hemolymph and convert them into uric acid,which is then excreted out through the hindgut. Therefore,this insect is called uricotelic.
$\rightarrow$ In addition to Malpighian tubules,the fat body,nephrocytes,and urecose glands also assist in the process of excretion.
$\rightarrow$ Some excretory substances are stored in the chitinous exoskeleton and are removed from the body during the process of moulting (ecdysis).
