(A) Bessemerisation is a metallurgical process used for the extraction of metals.In the case of $Fe$ (iron),the Bessemer process is used to remove impurities like carbon,silicon,and manganese from molten pig iron by blowing air through it.In the case of $Cu$ (copper),the Bessemer converter is used to convert molten matte $(Cu_2S + FeS)$ into blister copper by blowing air,which oxidizes $FeS$ to $FeO$ and then removes it as slag,followed by the self-reduction of $Cu_2S$ to $Cu$.Therefore,Bessemerisation is carried out for $Fe$ and $Cu$.
