(A) Cattle breeds can be improved by superovulation and embryo transfer technique,which is known as Multiple Ovulation Embryo Transfer Technology $(MOET)$.In this method,a cow is administered hormones with $FSH$-like activity to induce superovulation.Instead of one egg,which they normally yield per cycle,they produce $6-8$ eggs.The animal is then mated with an elite bull or artificially inseminated.The fertilized eggs at $8-32$ cell stages are removed non-surgically and transferred to surrogate mothers.This allows the genetic mother to be available for another round of superovulation,thus improving the breed.
