An object has a mass of $30 \ kg$. What is its weight $(i)$ on the moon $(ii)$ on another planet? The value of $g$ on the moon is $1/6$ the value of $g$ on the earth. The value of $g$ on the planet is $3$ times the value of $g$ on the earth. Take $g_{earth} = 10 \ m/s^2$.

(N/A) Given: Mass $(m) = 30 \ kg$,$g_{earth} = 10 \ m/s^2$.
$(i)$ Weight on the moon $(W_m)$:
$g_{moon} = 1/6 \times g_{earth} = 1/6 \times 10 = 5/3 \ m/s^2$.
$W_m = m \times g_{moon} = 30 \times (5/3) = 50 \ N$.
$(ii)$ Weight on the planet $(W_p)$:
$g_{planet} = 3 \times g_{earth} = 3 \times 10 = 30 \ m/s^2$.
$W_p = m \times g_{planet} = 30 \times 30 = 900 \ N$.
