(N/A) Amniocentesis is a prenatal diagnostic technique used to determine chromosomal patterns, metabolic disorders, and fetal health in the mother's uterus. This method was originally developed to identify genetic disorders in the developing fetus. However, this technique is being misused to determine the sex of the child before birth, leading to female foeticide. Therefore,to prevent the increasing rate of female foeticide and to maintain the sex ratio,it is necessary to ban the use of amniocentesis for sex determination.
