What is Aerofoil ? Explain .
In figure an aerofoil is shown, which is a solid piece shaped to provide an upward dynamic lift when it moves horizontally through air.
The cross section on the wings of an aeroplane looks somewhat like the aerofoil (shown in figure) with streamlines around it.
When the aerofoil moves against the wind, the orientation of the wing relative to flow direction causes the streamlines to crowd together above the wing more then those below it. The flow speed on top is higher than that below it.
This balances the weight of the plane.
Write Bernoulli’s equation in formula and in words.
Obtain Bernoulli’s equation for steady, incompressible, irrotational and viscous liquid.
Why two rowing boats moving parallel to each other come closer (attract) to each other ?
Write the limitations of Bernoulli’s equation..
The shown $H$ shaped apparatus contains an ideal incompressible liquid and has dimension as shown in figure . The diameters of the Tubes are small as compared to $h$ and $R$. The apparatus is rotated with a constant angular velocity $\omega$ about a symmetric vertical axis as shown in figure. The pressure at point $A$ is
