(N/A) Causes: The most common cause of inflammation in the intestinal tract is bacterial or viral infection. Infections are also frequently caused by intestinal parasites such as tapeworms,roundworms,threadworms,hookworms,and pinworms.
Diseases caused by digestive tract disorders:
$(i)$ Jaundice: The liver is affected,causing the skin and eyes to turn yellow due to the deposition of bile pigments.
$(ii)$ Vomiting: This is the ejection of stomach contents through the mouth. This reflex action is controlled by the vomit center in the medulla. $A$ feeling of nausea usually precedes vomiting.
$(iii)$ Diarrhoea: An abnormal frequency of bowel movements and increased liquidity of fecal discharge is known as diarrhoea. It reduces the absorption of food.
$(iv)$ Constipation: In constipation,feces are retained within the rectum because bowel movements occur irregularly.
$(v)$ Indigestion: In this condition,food is not properly digested,leading to a feeling of fullness. Causes of indigestion include inadequate enzyme secretion,anxiety,food poisoning,overeating,and consumption of spicy food.
